Shake it up...... green style!

Hey y'all!

So today I thought I would share this amazing recipe that my mom and I absolutely love. :)   It is called a green smoothie... sound gross? It actually isn't! You can put whatever ingredients you can think of (as long as you stick to fruits and vegetables)! Greens such as spinach, roman lettuce, and/or kale should be put in at all times because it wouldn't be a green shake with out them ( you can never taste them though, you can only taste the fruit that is put in them.. especially if you put bananas in it)!
Make sure to also put in a fibrous fruit such as bananas or strawberries because they tie and mix everything together and prevent the shake from clumping up.
Putting cold water in it makes it more of a drink base and the more you put in, the more watery it will be...    so it is best to put about 3/4 of a cup give or take.
Put all of the ingredients in a blender, make sure the top lid is on tight and then blend on high until it       looks all blended through.
It doesn't always come out green either... if you put lots of strawberries and raspberries in it,  it will turn out dark red!

I have attached a pic of a green smoothie we made( made with spinach, kale, bananas, apples and cold water)

They are so delicious plus nutritious at the same time!

  Enjoy!

   Peace for now :)

P.S. This is simply my opinion.

4) Sprinkle it all with fresh lemon juice
5) Bake in oven at 400 degrees F for 30 minutes

Fresh new twists to your salad.

Hey y`all!

So tonight I thought I would talk about something yummy as well as healthy my family has enjoyed for a few weeks now.

Tired of that plain garden salad? And would like to switch it up? After salad is made(awesome ingredients that go well are Lettuce, red and green pepper, broccoli, red onion, mushrooms and cucumber or whatever works well with your taste buds)...cut up a few blocks of feta cheese into a shredded like appearance and toss in salad , then sprinkle a little bit of the spices dill weed  oregano. Next, cut open a lemon and squeeze lemon juice all over the top of the salad. Lemon is a great liver detoxifier and adds a interesting, fresh twist to your plain old garden salad! Enjoy(:

  Ta ta for now :)

What's next?

Hey y'all!

So as you know,at the moment, I am studying to be a CNC through The Alive Academy of Natural health. So what are my plans after? Well I am not completely sure at the moment... but i would like to study to be a Massage Therapist and maybe set up my own practice of Health consulting. How did I become interested in Massage Therapy? Well same kind of a deal as my interest in Holistic Nutrition.

About a couple of years ago when my mom was at her most critical point of her health issues, I found a way to make her feel better.. at least a little bit anyway. Since my mom's hand was aching i decided to rub it...she enjoyed it and it made her feel a bit better and I enjoyed making her feel better. I would love to make people feel better and that is why i am aiming for a career of being a CNC and in a few years, a Massage Therapist.

     Peace for now! :)
